PW Portfolio Analytics Inc. (“PWPA”) is committed to maintaining the accuracy, confidentiality, and security of your personal and financial information.
Types of Information We Collect
PWPA collects two types of information from our customers and website visitors. With your consent, we collect Personal Data from you in order to provide our services. We may also collect anonymous/non-personal information.
Personal Data is information that refers to you specifically. With your consent, we may gather personal information from you in person, over the telephone or by corresponding with you via mail or the Internet.
The type of Personal Data we usually collect and maintain may include (but is not limited to):
Date of Birth or Age
Annual Income or range
Value and Location of Investment Assets
Other behavioral information (e.g. monthly expenditures, expected future expenditures)
The choice to provide us with personal and financial information is always yours. However, your decision to withhold particular details may limit the services we are able to provide to you.
PWPA routinely collects anonymous/non-personal information. Anonymous/non-personal information is information that cannot be associated with or traced back to a specific individual or business entity. For example, our web servers collect some anonymous/non-personal information automatically when you visit PWPA’s Wealthscope website. Gathered electronically, this information may include the pages you visited, the type of web browser you are using, the level of encryption your browser supports and your Internet Protocol address. The anonymous/non-personal information collected may be used for research and analytical purposes.
To help us better understand our markets, we may also gather information for analytical purposes by conducting anonymous customer surveys.
Processing and Protecting the Data
Methods of Processing
PWPA processes your Personal Data in a proper manner and shall take appropriate security measures to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, or unauthorized destruction of the Data.
The Data processing is carried out using computers and/or IT enabled tools, following organizational procedures and modes strictly related to the purposes indicated. In addition to PWPA, in some cases, the Data may be accessible to certain types of persons in charge, involved with the operation of the site (administration, sales, marketing, legal, system administration) or external parties (such as third party technical service providers, mail carriers, hosting providers, IT companies, communications agencies) appointed, if necessary, as Data Processors by PWPA. The updated list of these parties may be requested from the PWPA at any time.
The Data is processed at PWPA's operating locations and in any other places where the parties involved with the processing are located. For further information, please contact PWPA.
The Data is kept for the time necessary to provide the service requested by the User, or stated by the purposes outlined in this document, and the User can always request that the PWPA suspend or remove the data.
Protecting the Information we Collect
We take the security of your information seriously. We use technical and administrative security measures such as but not limited to firewalls, encryption techniques, and authentication procedures, among others, to maintain the security of your online session.
When Information May be Disclosed to Outside Parties
PWPA is obliged to keep your personal and financial information confidential except: 1) when authorized by you; 2) when required or permitted by law.
With your consent we will share information with other PWPA businesses or suppliers who perform services on our behalf. Unless you authorize us to release it, or release is required or permitted by law, we never sell, lease or trade information about you. We will not sell, publish, or share your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes.
We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to share or disclose your personal information with law enforcement, government officials, and other third parties:
to respond to subpoenas, court orders, or legal process;
to respond to claims that any posting or other content violates the rights of third parties;
in an emergency, to protect the health and safety of our Sites' users or the general public; or
as otherwise required by any applicable law.
In the course of daily operations, access to private, sensitive and confidential information is restricted to authorized employees who have a legitimate business purpose and reason for accessing it.
As a condition of their employment, all employees of PWPA are required to abide by the privacy standards we have established. Employees are informed about the importance of privacy and they are required to sign a confidentiality agreement that prohibits the disclosure of any client information to unauthorized individuals or parties. To reinforce their understanding and commitment to upholding client privacy and confidentiality, employees periodically receive up-to-date literature about our privacy policies, principles and standards. Unauthorized access to and/or disclosure of client information by an employee of PWPA is strictly prohibited. All employees are expected to maintain the confidentiality of customer information at all times and failing to do so will result in appropriate disciplinary measures, which may include dismissal.
Outside Service Suppliers
At PWPA, we sometimes contract outside organizations to perform specialized services such as account data aggregation. Our trusted service suppliers may at times be responsible for processing and handling some of the information we receive from you. When we contract our suppliers to provide specialized services, they are given only the information necessary to perform those services. Additionally, they are prohibited from storing, analyzing or using that information for purposes other than to carry out the service they have been contracted to provide.
If our company or our assets are acquired by another company, or in the event of a merger, consolidation, change in control, transfer of substantial assets, reorganization, or liquidation, we may transfer, sell, or assign to third parties, information concerning your relationship with us, including, without limitation, personal information that you provide and other information concerning your relationship with us. Such third parties will assume responsibility for the personal information collected by us in connection with our business operations or through our Sites and such third parties will assume the rights and obligations regarding such information as described in this Privacy Statement.
We may send periodic Site related alerts, weekly summaries, notifications, newsletters, promotions, or other information via email. You may choose to unsubscribe from our communications in the email you receive. Please note that certain messages that we send are necessary for the proper functioning and use of our services.
The User's Personal Data may be used for legal purposes by the PWPA, in Court or in the stages leading to possible legal action arising from improper use of Wealthscope or the related services. The User declares to be aware that the PWPA may be required to reveal personal data upon request of public authorities.
